Floral Birthdays

There is always a demand for female Birthday cards! Here are three I made to boost up the stock. Flowers rule at the moment.

Design Teams

I'm having a break from doing design team work. Projects posted from now will be from my shop supply and commissions. It will be a fresh direction for this blog. Thanks to my regular viewers.

Meanwhile I'm experimenting with fussy cutting images from patterned paper. This paper is a Stampin' Up, recently acquired at a local workshop. Can you spot my silly mistake?

Lotsa Lovely Layers

I love doing layers and this challenge met the mark. Layering up is the theme at Lets Craft and Create this month. I took a cue from the rose patterned paper and went from there.

Three dimensions

Mix it Up Challenge this month is for a three dimensional project. These wee boxes were so cute I could not chose just one! A bit of tropical colouring and bakers twine made them cute as.

Twine time

Some challenges just click straight away. The Entwined challenge at Let's Craft and Create this month suggested to me a Christmas theme so here we are ..... The greeting is from an embossing folder and highlighted with chalk. I used the extra bit from the embossing folder as the decoration on the top right corner.

Triple stamping

I guess my interpretation of this challenge was a bit different but still on the brief for Triple stamping at Mix It Up this month. Decided on a very floral theme and pink. I like to go girly on occasion!

Patriotic colours

Have a chance to wave the red white and blue this month at Let's Craft and Create. For myself ( loyal to my three countries ! ) I chose my birthplace to honour the flag colours.

Foiled !

Theme at Mix It Up this month is foiling. Silver was my chosen colour so used some silver mirri board for the foiled effect.

The man

Men's cards are the toughest but this one came to me pretty easily. It was for the Let's Craft and Create challenge this month. I'm a bit late posting but that's life getting in the way again !

Inlay Die Cuts

A gnarly challenge this month at Mix It Up !! A negative cut in a different colour is placed in the apertures for a very textured result.  For my design the doily die was the hardest as each aperture was a different shape. The teacup was fiddly as the cuts were so small. A good mental challenge to sharpen the brain.

Kitties For Mom

Appropriate theme this month at Let's Craft and Create. I make one for me and one for Dad to give to Mom so this is his one.  Who could resist those kitties on this special paper ???

Mixed Media with fabric

An embroidered napkin fragment was my inspiration for this months Mix It Up Challenge Blog competition. Used some chipboard and lace too. It makes the card a bit more bulky but OK for a non posted greeting.

Lots of Butterflies

A sweet theme this month at Let's Craft and Create .... butterflies ! I used two dies and a small punch to stick to the theme.

Black and White +

A favourite theme. Black and White with one other colour at Mix It Up Challenge Blog this month. I used a die that my sister gave to me and some sharp green to liven up this card.

Inked Background

The challenge at Mix It Up Challenge blog this month is to use ink for the project background. I put ink on an embossing folder with a bit of trepidation but it worked really well and I will be trying this method again! The curved edge is a design I have been using a lot since getting some curved dies. Simple but very effective.

The Rubber Band

Our challenge at Mix It Up Challenge Blog this month is rubber band stamping. This was great fun and simple to raid the house for different widths of band for the job. I chose a three colour way design and three widths of bands. Real simple and fun to do.

Thank You series

Lovely to do some feminine cards again after completing some big orders for the Museums. These will be given to the Garden Club for our speakers.

Sentiment as central focus

Mix It Up Challenge Blog this month requested the sentiment as the central focus. Sympathy cards are difficult but really the message is the most important so used a monochrome colour theme and printed the sentiment on the computer.

Chrissie Card

One of the many of my Christmas makes from this years collection now on Mix It Up Challenge Blog for December.

Sketch it up

Using a sketch is a great way to get started on a card and this month over at Lets Craft and Create we can do this. I used a simple one and made a snowflake and ice skates Christmas card. Great frosty colours too.
